Mission statement
Beyond Rational exists to make the conscious choice the easy choice. We curate acoustic and surface materials that perform to the standard architects expect, without the compromises that usually come with "sustainable" — no downgrade in finish, no downgrade in specification.
Every material we carry is chosen on its own merits first: how it sounds, how it looks, how it lasts. The lower footprint is the baseline we start from, not the trade-off we ask architects to accept.
The conscious choice should be the obvious one. In construction it rarely is — regulation and a longstanding caution toward new materials have kept the market conservative. We work only with the most ambitious, visionary partners to change that, one material at a time.
Who we are
Beyond Rational is based in Copenhagen. Our partner Aisti produces in Jyväskylä, Finland. We specify and supply across Denmark.
